I earned a Bachelor of Architecture from Kent State University in 1996. However, part-way through the Masters program, I realized that I wanted to be more involved with computers than a career in architecture would allow.

I began working at Hammond Communications Group in Lexington, Kentucky. HCG is a video production house which, at that time, featured a division that produced 3D architectural animation. There I modeled and animated building interiors and exteriors for fund raising videos. Occasionally I also got to work on some 3D animation or motion graphics for a tv spot. Eventually, I moved into HCG's 'new media' department where I led the development of web site and multimedia projects.

My next opportunity came when internet startup eCampus.com asked me to be their Lead Multimedia Developer. There I created multimedia marketing presentations, web content, and games.

My next move was cross-continent when I began working for The Groove Alliance in Hollywood, CA. There I designed and programmed 3D web games using the 3D Groove engine.

Now I am self-employed, working as a freelance game and multimedia developer. In the summer of 2005, I bid farewell to Los Angeles and relocated to New York City. My new base of operations is in the East Village of Manhattan.

I love computer and video games. It's an addiction I can trace back to my youth when I visited arcades after school and played games on my Atari 800 computer.

I'm always suprised at how many non-gamers there are in the game development industry. I feel that playing games is an absolutely essential means of "continued education" for anyone who makes games.

MY ALL-TIME FAVORITE GAMES:
M.U.L.E. (Atari 800/C64)
Mr. Do (Arcade)
Magic Carpet (PC)
System Shock (PC)
Banjo-Kazooie (N64)
Unreal Tournament (PC)

Ultima 7 (PC)
